Student-Athlete: If you are a 4.0 student and don’t perform on the field, your contract is terminated.
Pretty much.
Of course, if a college athlete can carry a 4.0 in majors other than Underwater Basket Weaving or P.E., then they would do well to go to a college that tends to value the “student” in “student-athlete” more, like the Ivy League schools or Vanderbilt (the perpetual punching bag in SEC football, but they tend to graduate many more of their athletes than almost any other school in the conference).
