I work with a typical salesman, always out of breath & promises the undeliverable.

We started up with a client. On Monday, we went through all the defects in the current product they wanted resolved. The conversation started thusly (as in, the first words out of their mouth):
CLIENT: “This first issue is top priority. We need to have it fixed for our release Saturday.”
ME: [Inwardly stunned, no mention of a release date has come up] So, uhh… We need to deliver this in 3 days to have it checked in and tested before then?
CLIENT: “No, two days. You need to deliver this tomorrow.”
ME: ……
ME: [Bangs head on desk.]
The rest of the week went downhill from there.
