If Iran shuts down the Straits of Hormuz - and as you noted, they’ve threatened it before - yeah, there would be a pretty much overnight global recession.

Which could do just as much damage as a conventional war. There’s no way that there isn’t a negative repercussion for our country in the wake of this.
