Just recently there was a case (I think here in NC, but it could have been anywhere) where a defendant was granted a mistrial because one of the juriors had twittered/texted during testimony. When the Judge called all of the jurors together, he polled them and found that 8 out of 12 of them had done the same thing. Cellphones are about to be banned in the jury boxes/rooms as a result.
