The author of that thread was a very pious person who is still struggling to find some connection to his faith after the betrayal he underwent by his pastor and congregation. Other gay Christians chime in that they feel that there is more tolerance for murderers in their faiths than there is for homosexuals.

I actually know very few gay atheists. Or rather, the number of my gay friends who are atheists seems to be about the same percentage of my straight friends. It must be terrible for those children for whom faith is important to have that attacked at the same time they have to deal with realizing that they’re gay.
