Yeah, but first of all, there was no paper in ancient Rome — it didn’t reach Europe til the late Middle Ages, if I remember correctly. Secondly, I don’t know how to make paper myself. And lastly, the Chinese had kites even before the Roman era, so even if I could make one, I wouldn’t be doing something that someone else had already done.

Kites can be made of animal skins or papuyrus, both of which the Romans had.
