What you call “resistance” is infact a bunch of rackets, who blow up civilians in a subway-station. This is the behavior of Islamic terrorists, not “nationalists”.

And how do you know that “the majority” of what you call “resistance” does not want a peaceful sharia-driven islamic state? Have you spoke to all of them?

Honestly, I don’t think Russian-Islamic tensions play into this. If they did, the Tartars would be doing things since they are the largest Russian Muslim population. However, they aren’t. This looks to be just a grim new chapter of tactics from Chechnya.
