He helps Romney by bringing a fresh face to the ticket, but nothing else. He certainly couldn’t carry Florida, the base would lambaste him for not being a “Real ‘Merikan!,” and his comments on immigration reform won’t drown out the screams of “Deport them all!”

Romney’s going to need someone with top-tier credentials in Gay-Hating and Free-Market-Jesus Loving.
