No I’m sorry McSpiff, this is not at all “simple assault and battery.” This was a public lecture at an European University on the subject of free speech, given by an artist who lives in fear of his life under death threats. There was a mob there chanting Allah Akba, rushing the stage and creating a riot.

It was obviously pre-meditated, they were not there to hear his lecture, they were there to silence him. I find this chilling and frightening. I also assert that the “gay Mohamed” pretext was utterly irrelevant and the keffiah wearing attacker would have made his attack regardless of the content of the lecture.
