We were discussing this the other day. (A bunch of moms.) We’re of the opinion that a super-strict eating policy is really bad for kids. They never learn how to moderate themselves and how to police their own diet.

Also forcing you kid to stay at the table until he cleans his plate is a bad idea. My kids always could always have peanut butter or Cheerios if they didn’t like what was on the family menu. They will just learn to hate whatever it is that you forced them to eat, and then your future daughter/son-in-law will be PISSED.
