I’m pretty sure the Founding Fathers - if they were able to observe the United States today - would be absolutely aghast at the anti-science and atavism that’s going on. They founded this country on Enlightenment principles; unfettered free inquiry, science, discovery, philosophy, music, freedom from the shackles of organized religion, etc. etc. The United States today doesn’t stand for that shit.
