I grew up in southeastern and central Ohio. They never had earthquakes or tremors until after fracking began at the outer edges of Appalachia after I left. And of course bringing that up to people who live there(it’s very red state America) provokes jobs and how good they pay talk, and so a lot gets ignored. Like toxic drinking water and crumbling infrastructure. Or lots of babies in certain places dying or getting sick or an uptick in miscarriages, or water that doesn’t run clear out of the tap. Sigh. So yes, it’s really likely that fracking will eventually effect everything around it.
