My church has canceled in-person services for the foreseeable future. One awesome thing they’ve done is that they’ve started launching virtual communities where we can connect church members with their friends and family who live nearby, and offer assistance as an officially sanctioned arm of the organization. They’re keeping these virtual communities under 50 people so as to ensure that we can meet if there is a need for a mass exchange of goods or services.

That is good of them.

I’m not sure what the Lutheran church here could do about virtual services, since even the church itself has no Internet service, much less the people in town.

I imagine they could do something similar with telephones though.
