I never cease to be disappointed at the conservative rights’ inability to tolerate anyone who doesn’t mirror their ideology. They hate moderates and anyone who leans left so keenly that they refuse to even participate on a blog or forum where moderates and leftists are allowed to contribute to the conversation.

It’s arrogance, ignorance and intolerance to the 9th degree - and IMO, just further proof that the conservative right is incapable of functioning outside of an echo chamber and incapable of independant thought in the political arena.

Have at it, folks.

Me? I prefer to stay here in the real world where some people actually think differently than I do. I don’t require an echo chamber to feel good about what I believe.

Social conservatism breeds ignorance and cruelty, and it violates every single principal that this Nation of free men and women was founded upon. I welcome and enjoy conversation with individuals from all across the political spectrum because intellectual integrity, diversity of opinion and the right of the individual to captain his own ship are all basic benchmarks of democracy.

I’m happy to be a part of a blog community that recognizes that fact, and honors those very important American principals.
