He can’t acknowledge that because by acknowledging that, that means admitting the mythical WWC is capable of voting for the same “identity politics” that he shuns social liberals for supporting. It must be nice to be Senator from Vermont, a staunchly liberal state. But the rest of us live in states that actually have not only some cultural diversity but political as well. Hell, in SC and BeachDem can vouch for this, you have Nikki Haley still bragging about keeping the Unions out when Unions are at a historical weak.

Senator Sanders won our state caucus, but winning the caucus is not the same as winning the General Election. Caucuses are closed and generally attended by those who are most able to attend. The General Election in a state with mail voting is attended by a whole lot more people. Whilst his message may have resonated with Democrats, we are a distinct minority, and he would not have carried our state.
