“Not A Real Liberal” is what New Jersey Florida Sister said about HRC. I thought, “Dafuq?”

I mean, at a certain point, if you support higher minimum wage; Universal healthcare; an expanded social safety net; affordable or free public education; more regulation of Wall Street, environmental regulations, worker safety, product safety, gun safety, and increased taxes on the wealthy and corporations, I’m not sure what’s left of Liberalism that you aren’t part of.

There’s an argument to be made that Clinton was too risk adverse in her politics, that she’d often be “late to the party” on some issues where there wasn’t a consensus (at least within the party). Of course, given her history in the nineties and aughts, one can understand why she’d be risk adverse.

I’m not saying being risk adverse is necessarily a good thing or a bad thing, but it’s easier to draw a line from risk adverse to many of stylistic criticisms we heard about Clinton.
