When I first saw tidepools at age 6, I wondered at those and all the other creatures in there. Then I noticed a couple of ladies picking up the sea urchins, cracking them on a rock, and slurping up the contents. I ask my mom what was up, and she said they were from a place where that’s how it’s done. They left some for the future now.
