re: #1283 SixDegrees
If the raw data has been destroyed, how do you recreate it? It requires an in-depth knowledge of the algorithms used in creating the “adjusted” data, and even then, it may not be entirely reversible. The lack of openness that the University of Anglia CRU showed is reprehensible. Any good scientist would want his/her results validated, otherwise it’s just another “Cold Fusion” debacle. Using friends to peer review and using them to prevent peer-review of others is also reprehensible, and appears may have been going on as well.
