The saddest thing about this whole kerfuffle is that the story itself wasn’t all that compelling or enlightening. It was an interesting read, but hardly provided any insight into how he became a monster…which was their tagline.

I’ve read this story before (and done much better and more enlightening and insightful). It’s called the Banality of Evil.
