Honestly, I hedge because I don’t exactly want the price of gas to go up. But then again, we really should’ve been well on the road to alternative fuels by now, perhaps raising the gas tax would actually motivate more research.

Raise the gas tax until it’s too expensive to waste. Cut other taxes as appropriate.
