This makes me a little sad though thinking about it. I admit most of the idealism in me was tapped out before Obama won election but I really thought he would be able to get a good amount done. I really underestimated not only the Republican base’s hatred of Obama but also how the Republicans would capitalize on it and how Dems would run away from him quickly. A lot of Obama’s failures frankly aren’t his fault. I think he maybe was a little naive at first but you know what, I don’t blame him for having some faith in the GOP Congresscritters to act like decent people to him.

Still got healthcare passed.
