You know, I dislike this administration, but I see nothing “solipsistic” about giving two (I assume young-ish) boys cool helicopter models that basically are souvenirs of the White House.

There is an art to gift giving, entertaining, and hosting. It’s a Zen thing, her gift in comparison looked bought on the fly as an afterthought. To Americans it may not seem such a big deal. We like “stuff” no matter what. Brits have a bit more of mannered tradition and have fine tuned such society niceties as proper visiting etiquette.
