Jimmy Kimmel grew up in the same neighborhood as me, a lower to middle middle-class neighborhood and went to the same schools. Very few were rich and Kimmel’s family was not one of them. Most families were just scraping by.

I think that’s the main connection between Kimmel and his former partner and friend Adam Carolla (sp?). They both came from lower-middle class backgrounds and had to sleep in cars and crappy apartments as they struggled to make it because there was no money behind them. AC is kind of a dick, though, and at least in his persona, would absolutely not agree with Kimmel.
