For years been telling my kid, deep in the systems engineering racket, that the code monkeys should form a “guild”. He says it’s antithetical to the IT culture.

I see that at my company. The aeronautical side is unionized. The software group I work in is not, and most of them are conservatives and would never join a union. But they take advantage of the benefits negotiated by the union.

I think being part of a C/C++ Union would be beneficial and a great pun.
