Chrissy Hynde also mentioned it in Reckless - My Time as a Pretenderas she was around Kent at that time too. Kent was the major metro/commuter school for the Cleveland/Akron area and was strong in the liberal arts.

My brother went to College of Wooster shortly after (around ‘74, I think). He and his friends went up to shows in Cleveland/Akron nearly every weekend. What a great scene (and fed into the Detroit scene, too, I guess).
