I am torn on this one. To repair all the damage that the GOP has done to America, it may be essential to basically castrate those fuckers, by weaponizing government to investigate & jail as many as can be rounded up before they hop on private planes to Russia.

Do we do this? Will it even be possible?

The main problem as I see it is that it only takes 30-40% of the electorate remaining consistently insane/evil/bigoted/willfully stupid to make a civil war inevitable if they persist with this nonsense long enough.

Counting conservatively, the GOP is already at 20+ years of that shit, and Trump is just the latest abominable aberration to show up as a result.

Unfortunately, I haven’t the foggiest idea how to tackle the real problem of the electorate. A maximum D effort in 2020 may rid us of Trump, and might even take back the senate, but we’d still have tens of millions of fucking deplorables to deal with.
