The Nat’l Geogrsphic series on Navy explosives ordnance disposal in SWA showed the backpack robot used to place charges. It is controlled by an X-Box handset.

The television commercial for the Xbox Kinect shows an EOD robot with a Kinect mounted on it. While it’s a great technology, given the company’s history, I would have a hard time trusting mission-critical systems to anything made by Microsoft.
