But just to let my fantasy run:
Some powerful figure, let’s call him R.K., hates BN because BN directly challenged R.K., accusing him of murders and calling for his prosecution.
R.K. then orders someone to deal with the turbulent liberal. This in itself would be enough, but BN was also vocal about Charlie Hebdo and free speech, so this then could be used: “See, he hates us and the Prophet. Do it.”.
So, R.K. hired Chechen hit men to do his dirty work, in other words.
