I can not adequately express my excitement the year, out of nowhere, Huitlacoche showed up in my sweet corn crop.

It happened years ago and never made a return visit.

We had that once, but to us at the time it was just corn smut fungus, and we thought it was nasty. If Dad had known about huitlacoche, you can dambetcha he’d have eaten it.
