Well “subscribe” does literally mean to “write under” (as in to sign an attestment), so she’s technically not so far from the truth. Not sure she’s followed the same logic as I have, and maybe she thinks Latin is a language spoken by folks down in Venezuela or something, but I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt…
