I saw that live in Denver… one of the few circus acts that I ever saw that literally had “my heart in my throat” and I was on the edge of my seat.

He made the “mistake” with the jump rope at the performance, and I purchased the DVD (that’s what you were watching) and he made the same “mistake” at the same point in his act.

And then, I’ve seen some other videos taken by individuals, at the performances, and the same thing happened… he misses the jumping at the beginning of the jump rope segment of his act.

That’s circus. The magic of circus is making it look much more dangerous than it is.

The mistake I saw at the Dralion performance did NOT occur on the video - it was an error. And they did indeed have a choreographed plan immediately available, all the performers jumped into it right away, so the jumper could regroup, and re-do the jump. Even the errors are perfectly handled. That’s what I found so incredibly impressive.
