Maybe, but the designers went a different way.

And I find their way to be rather disjointed and milquetoast compared to what they could have accomplished. Though I suppose the more they erred towards making Coumbia a dark mirror of Anerica or at least aspects of America (say by making it noticeably misoginistic as well) the more likely they would be to hit “too close to home” for some people.
