Existing government offices are largely held by people who seem impervious to shame and protest. A more useful target of street action are the larger (hierarchic) churches like the RC, Episcopal, Methodist, Lutheran. They have a moral obligation to resist this shit in the name of their expressed beliefs. Shame the bishops into action.

Good luck with that. They won’t even call out the hateful churches in their midst. Why would they take on the government and risk their tithing stream?

It’s almost as if even so-called mainline churches do not believe their teachings (no snark).
