The perception of AGW is that it is some decades into the future. Even though you and I can now link specific weather patterns to climate because of the research we’ve done does not mean those without the knowledge base can do the same. They still believe AGW is not an immediate problem, it is not ‘real’ enough to them it is an abstract idea that has yet to touch their individual lives. That perception is a reality we have to work with and dispel.
