I think it largely depends on where the party sits after next year. A serious disaster next November might mean a much earlier schism and possibly even a major third party candidate, ala ‘92.

Well having rude jackasses like Christie, Paul and Cruz in the mix means that it will be anything nut boring.

It is going to be a joy to watch the religious right try and snuggle up to any of those clowns.
