One of the things Musk has invested in is solar. The idea being that he would cover warehouse roofs and charge the trucks there.

Now, I’m not in logistics, so I don’t know how far apart various places are. But Amazon, building their own shipping, could put them in places that would make it easy to charge between stops.

I’m well-acquainted with the trucking industry. The distances between places are a lot bigger than you might think. That being said, electric charging stations in strategic locations would make this a feasible possibility. But that’s a big if; I mean, the railways have done it, but that’s by enforcing fixed routes over their railroads. The highways are much more flexible.
