Meh. That sort of thing sounded cool to me a long time ago, but the Moon and Mars are dead rocks, and it certainly doesn’t get us any closer to the stars. I believe in space exploration, but the best way to do it is with robots.

You mean the plethora of robots that have ended up as space junk due to things as simple as programming errors, equipment failures, or just the march of time?
