Don’t really know enough about that general - KT”s whining keeps me not wanting to bother - but this caught my eye:

Good for a Counter Insurgency but dead meat against any real enemy. For mud moving the 23’s are actually not too bad. Hang some rocket pods on those hard points and most will be cowering & looking for cover. But the 21’s & helos are not worth much in the real world.

The Hinds are good enough for the kind of role they are being used in. Ansar-al-Sharia in Benghazi isn’t nearly as good as the pro-Russian forces in Donetsk and provided the helicopters operate with an effective ground force any missileers can be spotted and engaged. It’s a risk, but the sort of firepower the Mi-24 carries gives the balance of advantage to the LNA.
