A female personal trainer has helped French president Nicolas Sarkozy improve his sex life since his marriage to ex-supermodel Carla Bruni, it emerged today.

Julie Imperiali, 26, concentrates on strengthening the perinea muscles at the bottom of the 5ft 6ins head of state’s pelvis.

‘Sexual relations are better if the male perineum is in good shape,’ said Mrs Imperiali. ‘The problems of premature ejaculation are often due to the perineum.’
