Stupid question here but how exactly did CCJ get his start anyhow? Who the hell thought it was a great idea to give a moron like this any sort of cred? I mean Shapiro’s a pathetic hack too but at least Ben can point to his academic background and the fact he has a JD.

We can pretty much blame Alan Dershowitz for Chuck. Chuck was picked to debate Dersh when Alan visited and spoke at his high school, where Dersh’s son also attended. He saw something in Chuck and made him his research assistant. Chuck then went to college and parlayed that connection into gigs with Breitbart, WSJ and The Daily Caller. He’s so unstable though that he could never turn any of that into a legit career, flaming out in a series of embarrassing articles that ended with him partnering with Obama birther Joel S. Gilbert, who purchased the Got News domain for him in exchange for promoting Gilbert’s documentary, based on bizarre conspiracy theories regarding Obama’s parentage. One bit of trivia, the Got News domain had previously been part of the Got Milk ad campaign (seriously.) Most people know the rest, he got kicked off Twitter, unsuccessfully sued Gawker and has steadily become more and more racist and psychologically unhinged over time.
