Same thing will happen here in my extremely rural part of NE Kentucky.
Not only will several vehicles stop to offer assistance, somebody will also have snacks and libations to share.

True story:
A few years ago there was an motorcycle accident a few miles from my house. Two paramedics were returning home to Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky from a conference in Ashland and had stopped to offer emergency medical assistance. I was second vehicle to stop (I had some emergency medical equipment in my truck). Soon there were several other vehicles. An SUV pulled over and yelled out to me: “BWS! I got that LP tank for your grill. Want I should just put in the back of your truck?”

That’s how we roll in the civilized portions of Kentucky.
