re: #98 Obdicut

I don’t think Obama has enough 30 seconds in his day for stuff like this, actually.

our government is a system that works through delegation. To me— and I’m not saying you’re consciously doing this, Ludwig— a lot of the reason that Obama is assumed to be involved is because this involves race.

I do not think that Obama actually considers every incident involving race to be priority #1.

Yes and no.

For certain, he must be sensitive to race issues because of the wretched environment he finds himself in. Because of that, I am certain that some staffer or team of staffers looks out for stuff like this. These people are likely relatively low on the food chain.

I do not believe for one second that the question of her firing was brought to him personally. I am certain he was informed after the fact.

That said, Vilsak strikes me as the most cowardly and CYA sort of career bureaucrat. It is almost as ridiculous for me to believe that he didn’t call someone low on the food chain at the white house in a panic as itis for me to believe Obama was in it from the get go.

The most likely scenario, is Vilsak calls WH toadie. Toadie over-reacts or even just agrees with Vilsak.

Things blow up from there.

Some time later Obama gets 30 sec briefing.
