I feel confident in asserting that if Hitler would not have risen to power in Germany then most of us wouldn’t be here, given that we are Americans and either our parents or grandparents had their lives significantly rearranged by WWII.

So, if I gave you a time machine, would you go back and prevent Hitler from becoming Fuhrer?

If Hitler had not risen to power in Germany, the industrialists would have found another puppet to put in his place: perhaps one who was not as mad and obsessive about controlling his generals and every aspect of the war…

And things could have turned out very differently, and not necessarily for the better.
