I grew up in Indiana, which did not change clocks back then, and then moved to Arizona, which still does not change clocks.

China observes neither daylight savings time nor national time zones. So it is the same time everywhere in China, although the country spans five time zones. Schoolkids in the far western regions wake up in the dark to go to school all year long.
