The thing is, I’d bet the 23% who don’t expect to retire are mostly people whose jobs barely pay enough for them to live now, and a lot of those jobs aren’t the kind you can keep doing forever.

You would be surprised how many in IT continue to work long past their retirement age. People who I used to work with 30+ years ago are still working at the same company.
