IDF Invasion of Gaza Imminent?

re: #127 Venflon

According to local news services, hamas has built some sort of line of bunkers, trenches, tunnels(Vietnam style) along the gaza strip border, 3 km inside.
Apparently the artillery being fired at the open areas is meant to soften up that defensive line.

Personally I’m not that eager for an entry, unlike the initial airstrikes that were a total surprise in their timing, the IDF is not capable of doing a surprise ground attack at this time, as everyone is expecting it. (The Politicians to blame for the delay with the entry.)
Thus, hamas has a plan/strategy in place, as primitive as it may be, to counter it. in the past, they have planted explosive charges UNDER the road itself and then coated it back up with asphalt for remote detonation when/if IDF forces pass over it. So we can expect them to have those in place at this time as well… Along with other surprises.

Is an amphibious assault out of the question?
