Often with wine, the money you pay is for the import costs. Getting a bottle of wine from Italy or France to the U.S. (especially the West Coast) is very expensive.
Not in this case.
I live just a very short distance from the Napa Valley. And yet the wine that was all the way from Italy was the $14 bottle, and a bottle from a vineyard in Napa I could visit in person in under an hour was $60.
You explain it.
