Bob “oh wow I’m a libertarian now” Barr?

To me, Bob Barr represented the final, cynical sell-out of the Libertarian party. Sure, it’s great that Bob Barr says he’s had some conversion and realized Libertarianism is the shit. Why does that make him suited for the leadership role in the Libertarian party? Why not someone who’s, oh, been a Libertarian for a long time?
