re: #3 Brother Holy Cruise Missile of Mild Acceptance

I remember being in the “Gas Chamber” during Army BCT. We were exposed to CS gas as part of our instruction on the use of our gas masks. Inside the chamber they had a canister over a burner and the heated item in the canister gave off the gas. To produce the CS gas component they had to heat whatever was in the can on the table in the middle of the room.

The gas did not necessarily burn, it stung like a bitch, it made your eyes roll into your head and snot, sweat and spit come out of just about everywhere. Some people vomited as a result of it and I can see how it was incapacitating when used in a tight spot.

Bottom line, if they were talking about using a “burner” that would be a CS gas grenade that most likely would be dispersed via heating and therefore an incendiary device would be part of the grenade.

I remember doing that. We had to say our name, rank, and serial number before we were allowed to put the gas mask on. That shit burned.
