What country or countries can stop anything the US decides to do and how? The UN is pretty toothless in the best circumstances and when the country in question is a permanent member of the security council action is less than likely, maybe some subcommittee will write a sternly worded letter. Economic sanctions? Probably hurt themselves as much as us and probably lead to a global recession/depression that will cause far more misery in the end.

Maybe targeted sanctions against Trump and other admin folks, but the dipshit would probably start a real shooting war over it.

Our $20T national debt is all T-Bills. Nothing but T-Bills. About 1/3 is held by foreign governments; all of it rolls over every six months. If some of those other governments decide to cash out a few trillion instead of re-investing… we’re super-screwed. Interest rates, inflation, etc etc etc recession recession.
